Stay Review Bloomrooms @ New Delhi Railway Station

It was supposed to be a 5-minute walk from New Delhi Station…

I left New Delhi Station and headed toward the hotel, only to be met by a massive road with no crosswalk and a chaotic swarm of vehicles. Google Maps said it was a 5-minute walk, but between getting blocked by inaccessible paths and trying to figure out how to cross, it ended up taking closer to 10 minutes.

As you move away from the hustle and bustle near New Delhi Station, you’ll start entering the Paharganj area, known for its many hotels and restaurants.

Finally Checked In

After dodging traffic, dog poop, and random trash, I finally made it to the hotel! I was too tired to take many photos, but here’s a glimpse of the terrace inside.

The air conditioning is by Daikin and works well, keeping the room nice and cool. Most importantly, the shower had a strong flow of hot water—a huge plus in India!

Also, the hotel staff respond quickly via in-app chat, which is super convenient when you need something.

Dinner Nearby

It was the first night, and I wasn’t in the mood to dive into a super-local food joint. So, I opted for The Indian Grill, located on the ground floor of a nearby hotel, and ordered their biryani.

# The Indian Grill

I’ve had biryani a few times back in Japan, but this one was on a whole different level. The fluffy, well-seasoned rice, combined with rich and juicy meat, made it one of the best biryanis I’ve ever had.

Indian Liquor Stores Are Wild

On the way back, I decided to check out a liquor store recommended by the hotel front desk. The nearby streets were lively and full of energy—typical of Delhi!

I followed the verbal directions and found the shop… but wow. People were yelling loudly, and the “line” (if you can call it that) was totally unstructured. It was pure chaos, and I just didn’t have the guts to step in. I ended up leaving empty-handed.

I don’t think I’ve been turned away from buying alcohol like that since I was underage! 😅

Final Thoughts on Bloomrooms @ New Delhi Railway Station

Life is Lax Rating

★★★★☆
(Based on solo travelers or two adults sharing)

Impressions

For solo travelers or pairs looking to explore New Delhi or use it as a base for wider travel, the location is ideal. It’s close to New Delhi Station, not far from the airport, and within walking distance to all the food and charm of Paharganj.

It’s so clean you might wonder, “Is this really India?” Add in the friendly, professional staff and quick chat-based service, and you’ve got one of the most foreigner-friendly hotels around. I highly recommend it for adult travelers.

And most importantly—the shower was clean, modern, and always had hot water!

Price

Rates vary by season, but generally fall between:

  • ¥3,000–¥6,000 (Approx. $19–$38, €17–€35) per night.
When I stayed, it was around ¥5,500 (Approx. $35, €32) per night.
